WINE DESCRIPTION
Château des Roques Cuvée du Château is a classic Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre blend with a touch of Cinsault produced in the Vacqueyras appellation of Rhône Valley. Heat-tolerant Grenache thrives in the warm climate of the Southern Rhône Valley and makes up the majority of the blend each year, contributing body, red fruit and white pepper spice. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel vats and aged in combination of inert vessels and large used oak barrels known as 'demi-muids' for about 18 months prior to bottling.

Château des Roques Cuvée du Château Vacqueyras offers a captivating bouquet of ripe red and dark fruits, such as ripe and baked raspberries, strawberries blackberries and plums, intertwined with hints of spices like white and black pepper.There is also a subtle earthiness present, adding depth and complexity to the aromatic profile. The palate is rich and velvety texture coating the mouth with well-integrated alcohol. The flavors of red and black fruits continue to shine through, accompanied by notes of roasted meats, licorice and dark chocolate. The well-integrated tannins provide structure and balance, while the vibrant acidity adds freshness and ensures a long, lingering finish.

The Rhone wine region is located in southeastern France. It runs along the Rhone River roughly from Lyon in the north to Avignon in the south. It is divided into two main sub-regions: the Northern Rhone, running from Lyon to Montelimar, and the Southern Rhone, from Montelimar to Avignon. Although wines of all color are made, both regions are most famous for thier red wine. The Northern Rhone is known for its full-bodied red wines made from Syrah grapes with the possible inclusion of some white grapes, while the Southern Rhone is known for its blends of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grapes.
