WINE DESCRIPTION
Château des Eyrins, situated at the heart of the Margaux appellation, boasts a prime terroir across its modest 3-hectare vineyards, positioned near renowned estates like Châteaux Margaux and Lascombes. Founded by Eric Grangerou in the 1980s, with Olivier Dauga joining for winemaking in 2001, the estate was later acquired by the Gonet-Médeville family in 2009. Now led by Xavier and Julie, the young couple maintains the legacy with guidance from Olivier Dauga. The vines, aged 40 years on gravelly soils, cultivate Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Natural practices, low yields, and meticulous hand-harvesting contribute to their exceptional wines, fermented for 21 days and aged for 18 months in stainless steel tanks and new oak barrels.
