WINE DESCRIPTION
Chateau de Paraza, owned by the De Girard family since the 17th century, was acquired by the Danglas family in 2006. Nestled in Minervois, one of France's oldest Mediterranean vineyards, the estate overlooks the Aude River plain. Intertwined with Languedoc history, the chateau housed engineer Paul Riquet, creator of the Canal du Midi, in the 17th century. The canal, visible from the chateau's seven terraces, was a gift of gratitude from Riquet. The south-facing Minervois vines grow on limestone, sand, and clay soils.
