Château Coutet Cuvée Madame is a special release produced only in the very best years, coming from the property’s two oldest parcels of Sémillon. The average age of the vines on these plots is around 55 years. The selection process is painstaking as each grape is picked one-by-one by hand. Further sorting takes place at the wine press and damaged grapes are eliminated immediately. Alcohol fermentation takes place in new French oak barrels before it stops to retain sweetness, then the wine is aged in barrels for three years before bottling.

Château d'Yquem Sauternes is one of the most highly acclaimed sweet wines in the world. Hailing from the Sauternes region of Bordeaux, this luscious, golden-hued wine is crafted from a blend of Semillon, and Sauvignon Blanc grapes that have been affected by "noble rot," a process of berry dehydration brought on by the cooler nights and morning mists of the region. Rich and complex, Château d'Yquem Sauternes is packed with aromas of ripe tropical fruit, honey, and ginger, with a unique combination of sweet, tangy, and fresh flavors. On the palate, it is smooth and creamy, with a balanced, long finish. This is a wine that needs to be savored, and is sure to be a hit at any dinner party.
