Château Carbonnieux Château Tour Léognan Pessac-Léognan Blanc is a white wine produced by the Grand Cru Classe rated Château Carbonnieux in the Pessac-Léognan appellation of Bordeaux, France. The vineyard features a unique terroir with gravelly soil and a cool microclimate, which allows for the slow ripening of the grapes and optimal flavor development. Every year, the estate replants one or two parcels of vines. The fruit from the younger vines, from the ages of 3 to 15 years, goes into this cuvee. The winemaking process involves the blending of Sauvignon Blanc with a portion of Semillon before maturation in small, French, oak barrels for around 9 months. The resulting wine is elegant, with aromas of nectarine and white flowers, and subtle oak toast. It is a perfect match for seafood, poultry, and crunchy salads.
