WINE DESCRIPTION
Located in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, Château Bouscaut, with its three-century-old vineyard, has been owned by the Lurton family since 1979. It is currently managed by Sophie Lurton and her husband Laurent Cogombles. From the renovation of the cellars in 2010 to the meticulous vineyard management, every effort is made to express the essence of this outstanding Graves terroir. Château Bouscaut is classified for both red and white wines, with a 50-hectare vineyard planted on gravel and calcareous clay soils.
The red wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec. The Grand Vin is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, of which 40% are new. Les Chênes de Bouscaut is the second red wine.
Château Bouscaut wines are known for their charm and enjoyment. The white wine is robust and mineral, while the red wine strikes a beautiful balance between fruitiness, spice, and fullness.
