Chambers Rosewood Vineyards Muscat is a youthful, oxidized, maderized, fortified wine with notes of raisins, orange blossom and figs. Hailing from Victorian region of Rutherglen, this wine is crafted from dark skinned Muscat grapes grown in estate vineyards of this family owned producer. The grapes are picked late when raisinated on the vine. Fortification takes place early, creating a lush, sweet style. The wine is aged is large vats and blended before sale with the average age being more than 3 years old. It is a perfect choice for those seeking a decadent dessert wine or an introduction to the Rutherglen style.

Chambers Rosewood Vineyards is a renowned winery known for their exceptional Muscat wines.This particular Muscat is made from Muscat Brune à Petits Grains grapes, which are known for their aromatic qualities. On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet of dried fruits, such as raisins, figs, and dates, along with hints of orange peel, and caramel.
On the palate, this Muscat is rich and luscious, with a velvety texture that coats the mouth. This youthful style of Muscat will not develop further in bottle but it will hold indefinitely due to the high levels of sugar and alcohol. Once opened, drink within a month. Try including some in your hot chocolate over winter for an extra touch of indulgence.

Victoria's wine industry began due to the discovery of gold in the 1850s, leading to a influx of settlers from Europe, who brought vines and know-how from home. By 1890, Victoria was producing half of all the wine in Australia, but the spread of phylloxera in the late 19th Century and a number of wider issues, caused a decline.
