Wine Description:
Cecchi Bonizio Sangiovese di Maremma Toscana is a dry red wine fromt he Tuscan region of Maremma. The wine is made from the local Sangiovese grape with Merlot in support to add more mid-palate richness and balance out Sangiovese more austere structure. The vineyards are at lower elevation and closer to the sea grangting them a warmer climate and high level of ripeness. The winemaking ismodern with fermentation at controlled temperatures in neutral vessels and maturation in a small proportion of oak to add width to the palate. Made in an early drinking style, the vatting time is shorter to best manage tannin extraction.
