WINE DESCRIPTION
Cayuse Vineyards' The Widowmaker is typically a mono-varietal expression made from Cabernet Sauvignon, hailing from the Walla Walla Valley appellation, located within the State of Washington. Cayuse Vineyards farm their vineyards using biodynamic methods sourced entirely from the En Chamberlin Vineyard. The wine is vinified in new French oak barrels for around 18 months to add layers of sweet spice and create a round, velvety texture.

The Cayuse Vineyards The Widowmaker reveals a deep, almost opaque ruby-purple color on pouring.On the nose, this wine is hugely intense and rich, with a captivating bouquet of dark fruits, such as blackcurrant, blackberry and plum, accompanied by hints of spice, tobacco, and crushed mint. Upon tasting, The Widowmaker showcases a full-bodied structure with velvety tannins that provide a luxurious and plush mouthfeel. The flavors of ripe black fruits continue to dominate the palate, complemented by nuances of dark chocolate, leather, and a touch of smokiness on the hugely concentrated, persistent finish.
