WINE DESCRIPTION
Casali Maniago Pinot Grigio is produced in the Colli Orientali del Friuli area of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, in Northeast Italy. Vineyards are planted on predominantly marly-clayey soils which helps retain water throughout the warm growing season. On arrival at the winery, the grapes are pressed to separate the skins from the juice. The skins are discarded, with the juice transferred to tank to begin the fermentation in temperature-controlled tanks. Maturation occurs on the fine lees (decomposing yeast) and in the bottle, with the aim of creating a vibrant and refreshing wine.

Casali Maniago Pinot Grigio has a pale straw, almost water-white appearance.On the nose, aromas of citrus fruits, such as lemon and grapefruit, along with hints of green apple and pear. These vibrant fruit notes continue onto the palate, where they are complemented by a zesty acidity that adds a refreshing quality to the wine. The palate is relatively lean, with a light body that further enhances the impression of freshness. The finish is a little brief, but its appealing citrusy notes reappear, complementing the firm core of acidity.
