WINE DESCRIPTION
Carter Cellars 'The Grand Daddy' is a Cabernet Sauvignon that showcases the best of Napa Valley hailing from the prestigious Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. The winemaking process involves careful selection of grapes, followed by crushing, fermentation and aging in mostly new oak barrels. The barrel maturation helps to soften the tannins creating a plush mouthfeel and also adds flavors of vanilla and oak spice to complement the intense and glossy dark fruit flavors.

The palate is dense and layered, with flavors of dark fruit with notes of blackberry, cassis, mocha, and cedar. The fine-grained tannins provide structure and a long, lingering finish helping to provide framework for the decadently ripe and rich dark fruit.
