WINE DESCRIPTION
Carlisle Two Acres Red Blend is made from a field blend of grapes sourced from Sonoma County, California. The grapes are mostly from old vines that are known for producing smaller berries resulting in more concentrated wines. The grapes are hand harvested, partly crushed with the a proportion fermented using whole clusters in tanks. Once fermentation is complete, the grapes are pressed to French oak barrels, of which only a small proportion is new. The wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered.

This Carlisle Two Acres Red Blend is a robust and complex blend with a deep ruby color.On the nose, aromas of dark fruit and currants are complemented by spice and pepper. On the palate, flavors of ripe red and dark fruit, tobacco, and cocoa are balanced with a hint of earthiness. The finish is long and relatively complex, with a lingering hint of well-integrated oak spice.
