Established in 1989, Canoe Ridge Vineyard, conceived with faith in the Horse Heaven Hills' potential, evolved into a reality through collaboration with local farmers. The Walla Walla winery, inaugurated in 1994, started as a small-lot, red varietal-focused venture. True to its vision, it produces Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, red blends, and limited Chardonnay. Led by Winemaker Haydn Mouat, the focus on Bordeaux varietals with a Merlot emphasis shapes Canoe Ridge's iconic reputation. Aging predominantly in French oak, the wines marry structure with softness. Small fermenters, efficient automation, and meticulous quality control define their commitment to crafting exceptional wines.
