Wine Description:
After three generations as a royal supplier of Port wine, Clemente da Silva took over the old winery "Corrêa Ribeiro e Filhos" of his wife's family in 1933, renaming it C. da Silva and bringing it to international fame. Presidential Port wines from the world's oldest protected wine-growing region, the Douro Valley (UNESCO World Heritage), are produced according to strict guidelines from selected grapes. They mature under ideal Mediterranean conditions on terraces along the Douro River. C. da Silva allows the Port wines a longer aging period than usual, resulting in exquisite outcomes through serene maturation in the vaulted cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia near Porto. PRESIDENTIAL - Port Wine Diversity with Class - represents a rich range of characters, ages, maturation stages, exceptional harvests (Portuguese: Colheita), and vintages. Read more
