WINE DESCRIPTION
Burgess Chardonnay is a rich, buttery, oaked Chardonnay from Sonoma's Russian River Valley. The grapes are sourced not far from the Pacific Coast, which helps to slow the ripening and preserve acidity. On arrival at the winery, the grapes are pressed and fermented in a combination of neutral oak and stainless steel vats giving both freshness and roundness to the wine. Finally, the wine is matured for around 12 months in new and neutral French oak barrels prior to bottling contributing notes of vanilla and sweet spice to the wine.

The palate is rich and creamy, with a medium to full body that coats the mouth in a round texture. The flavors are well-balanced, offering a perfect marriage of fruit and oak. Ripe pineapple and mango notes take center stage, complemented by subtle hints of toasted oak, butter, and a touch of butterscotch.
