WINE DESCRIPTION
Brotherhood Merlot is a soft, fruity wine produced by Brotherhood Winery, one of the oldest wineries in the United States. The grapes are sourced from mature vineyards planted in the Eastern Long Island. The grapes are crushed and the wine is fermented on skins, yielding deep color, full flavors and mild tannins. After fermentation, it is barrel-aged in French Oak for at between six months and one year to add complexity.

This Brotherhood Merlot has a deep, ruby hue and a nose of ripe berries and dark chocolate.The palate is medium-bodied and smooth, with notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, dark cherry, and a hint of smoky oak on the finish. The tannins are well-integrated and there is a firm core of acidity that further highlights the wine’s elegant structure and graceful balance. The finish is moderate in length with a satisfyingly dry, tannic bite.
