WINE DESCRIPTION
Borthwick Pinot Noir hails from the Gladstone subregion of Wairarapa, New Zealand. Here, the vines experience wide day-night temperature fluctuations and low rainfall, creating the ideal for environment for Pinot Noir. The grapes are sourced from 3 vineyards producing a range of flavor profiles to blend with for greater complexity. Wines are fermented in temperature controlled vats. Following an
extended post-ferment maceration on skins the wine is pressed to barrel, where it is aged in French oak aged for around 8 months prior to its release.

Borthwick Pinot Noir displays a pale to medium ruby hue.The nose presents a delicate and complex bouquet of red fruits, such as ripe cherry, strawberry and raspberry, intertwined with subtle floral notes. On the palate, the acidity provides contrast to the red fruit flavors and hints of spice and earthiness. The wine's silky texture creates a sensual experience, wrapping the delicate red fruit notes, whilst the core of acidity provides freshness and drinkability.
