Borell Diehl Pinot Noir is made from hand-harvested, fully de-stemmed estate-grown fruit in the Pfalz region located in the west of Germany. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel vats using indigenous yeast then transferred to old, large format barrels for maturation. Old oak is preferred as it does not contribute spicy flavors which could mask the delicate fruit flavors. The resulting wine is delicate with pure red fruit flavors and an underlying earthiness.
