The region was officially founded in 1925, and is now one of the most famous and respected wine regions in the world.

Pleasant Rioja, but not a standout. The oak adds a nice depth, with notes of coconut, vanilla, cedar, plum, blackcurrant, cherry, fig, and pepper. The impression is balanced, with a velvety conclusion and a good length. However, the as a whole quality feels somewhat compromised by the price, which is quite steep for a Rioja of this caliber.
