WINE DESCRIPTION
Bodega Berroja Berroiais sourced from vineyards that are located in the "Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve" in Muxica, within the Txakolina Bizkaiko DO by Spain's Bay of Biscay, at 656 ft elevation. The soils are limestone on the surface with sandy subsoil. The region borders the Atlantic Ocean, making this is one of the wettest regions in Spain. Grapes are harvested, pressed and undergo an extended fermentation and maturation on lees at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks to retain varietal character.

Bodega Berroja Berroia has a pale lemon, almost water-white appearance with presence of gas.The nose offers an inviting, lively array of citrus fruits like lemon, grapefruit alongside notes of green apple. These fruit aromas are accompanied by hints of sea spray and oyster shell that give the wine an intriguing saline character. The palate reveals a light body with a lean texture and delicate flavors of citrus and orchard fruit with the underlying salinity that carries through on the refreshing finish.
