The Bernard Series pays homage to the daring and visionary co-founder, Bernard Podlashuk, who elevated South African wine. Hand-picked grapes from Agter-Paarl vineyards were selected for their soft tannins and pure fruit. Co-fermentation of Shiraz, Mourvèdre, and Viognier, followed by barrel aging for 14 months, crafted this wine. It exhibits a deep ruby hue with crimson hints and enticing aromas of berries, cherry, dark chocolate, spices, roses, and violets. The palate is powerful yet graceful, offering complexity and a lengthy finish. Ideal for pairing with lamb, beef, sausages, or tomato-based dishes, it embodies Bernard's innovative spirit.
