Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is meticulously crafted by blending superior wine barrels from carefully chosen vineyards and appellations within Napa Valley. Unlike the single-clone Cabernet offerings, this blend harmoniously combines the strengths of various clones, resulting in a wine greater than the sum of its parts. Grapes were sourced from vineyards in St. Helena, Rutherford, Mount Veeder, Yountville, and Howell Mountain appellations.
The grapes are hand-harvested and gently crushed, with 60% whole berries retained for optimal color and tannin extraction. After fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels, aging separately by lots in French oak barrels for 19 months. The wine is lightly filtered and not fined, allowing it to naturally clarify and develop soft tannins. After more than a year in the bottle, it is ready for release.
