WINE DESCRIPTION

Ballot Millot is an estate based in the famous village of Meursault. Their Volnay 1er Cru 'Taille Pieds', which translates as “cut foots”, derives from a sloping vineyard situated at higher elevation and contains soils rich in brown clays and prickly stones, making it not easy for vignerons to work. This unique terroir yields Pinot Noirs that are inherently more mineral and austere than their neighbouring climats. The wines are fermented and barrel aged for more than one year prior to their release.
