WINE DESCRIPTION
This Corton Grand Cru offers a harmonious balance of power and finesse, typical of a well-aged Pinot Noir from the renowned Corton terroir. The wine’s expressive fruit and earthy complexity make it an excellent choice for gastronomic pairings. While it is enjoyable now, it has the potential to develop even further with continued cellaring. Expect the tannins to soften over time, revealing a more integrated and refined profile.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
The Corton Grand Cru Vieilles Vignes is crafted from old vines grown on the clay-limestone soils of the prestigious Corton appellation. After manual harvesting, the wine undergoes nearly a year of maturation in French oak barrels, with no fining or filtration. The wine is a brilliant purple, with a complex bouquet of dark fruit, wood, and earthy aromas, complemented by subtle hints of underbrush and mushrooms. On the palate, it is well-balanced with powerful structure, yet maintains an elegant and refined finish.
