Auspicion Chardonnay is crafted with precision from select vineyard sites in Napa, Lodi, and Monterey, California. Harvested throughout September at peak ripeness, the grapes undergo gentle pressing and destemming before fermenting in stainless steel tanks. A cool maceration over 3-4 days enhances the wine's balance and complexity. Full malolactic fermentation imparts a rich, buttery texture, while resting on fine lees deepens its creaminess. Aged for 6 months in used French oak barrels, this Chardonnay showcases the unique characteristics of its diverse soils, including limestone, clay, marl, and marine sandstone, resulting in a refined, elegant wine with depth and character.
