Located in the northeast of Napa City lies Arrow & Branch, a 5-acre vineyard within the renowned Tulocay region, part of the Coombsville AVA. Steve and Seanne Contursi fulfilled their dream of owning a vineyard in 2007, acquiring it from Tony Soter, known for producing the highly-rated "Little Creek" Cabernet Franc here. The winery's name, Arrow & Branch, subtly nods to Steve's expertise in numismatics. Farmer Mike Wolf tends to the vines, and most Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are sourced, primarily from the famous Dr. Crane Stagecoach Vineyard and Meteor Vineyard. With a history dating back to 1996, this estate showcases the enduring quality of Coombsville's Cabernet Franc grapes.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
Arrow & Branch's Dr. Crane Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a full-bodied, complex and well-structured wine.On the nose, aromas of currants, blackberries, and cedar lead into an opulent palate of rich spices, ripe tannins, and a hint of cocoa powder. The finish is long and layered, with notes of vanilla, espresso, and anise.
