Anselmo Mendes, a passionate and hands-on winemaker, thrives in the vineyards of DOC Vinho Verde. Born in Moncao, he grew up in a winemaking family and cultivated a deep connection to the land. After studying agricultural sciences and oenology, he honed his craft through work with local and international wineries. In 1998, he introduced his inaugural wine, with a special affinity for the Alvarinho grape. His mastery of Alvarinho earned him acclaim, including the title of "Winemaker of the Year" in 2010 in Portugal and recognition as the most innovative Alvarinho producer by Spanish wine critic Jose Penin.
