Established in 1845 by Jann Hinrich Andresen, a Danish immigrant to Portugal, Andresen is a renowned Port wine house renowned for its luxurious and refined premium Ports. With over 160 years of history, Andresen proudly maintains its independence as one of the few entirely family-owned Portuguese Port Houses.
Today, all Andresen Ports are crafted at Quinta das Aranhas, located near the Tua River in the heart of the Douro region. With 40 hectares of A-rated vineyards, they ensure the excellence of their premium Ports. Andresen is celebrated for producing exceptional Colheita Ports and aged Tawny Ports of the highest quality.

The Douro Valley in Portugal is one of the oldest and most iconic wine regions in the world. Located in the north of the country, the region is renowned for its stunning scenery and its production of world-class fortified wines.
The Douro Valley was first demarcated in 1756 and originally applied only to port production. It was extended to include table wine in 1979, with the first glimmer of the region’s potential for non-fortified still red wines appearing when port shippers Casa Ferreirinha launched Barca Velha in 1952.
