WINE DESCRIPTION
Alta Luna Phases hails from Italy's northern region of Trentino-Alto Adige, labelled under the overarching Dolomiti IGT. The wine is composed of Teroldego, Lagrein and Merlot. The high-elevation vineyards are situated along the foothills of the Adige Valley, bordering Trentino and Alto Adige. The vines experience a warm climate and high sunlight exposure moderated by extreme day-night temperature fluctuations which allows the grapes to retain freshness and acidity. Each variety is harvested by hand and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks, before undergoing around 12 months of ageing in oak barrels.

Alta Luna Phases presents a medium ruby color in the glass.On the nose, it offers a range of ripe dark berries, such as blackberry, plum and black cherry, accompanied by hints of spice and herbal undertones. The bouquet is further enhanced by subtle floral notes reminiscent of violets, adding a touch of elegance. The palate shows a medium body with excellent freshness provided by a firm backbone of acidity. The flavors are well-balanced, showcasing a perfect harmony between the fruit concentration and spiciness of pepper and cloves that is present on the modest finish.
