WINE DESCRIPTION
Alma Negra Gran is a powerful wine intended to be the flagship of this estate owned by Ernesto Catena whose father, Nicholas, contributed much to the organization of the wine industry in Argentina. Made from predominantly Malbec grapes grown at high altitudes, this wine is equally ripe in terms of both fruit and tannins. This is a bold, style of wine with expressive black fruit notes, coffee complexity, and real weight on the palate.

Mendoza is the largest wine-producing region in Argentina, located in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. It is known for its high-altitude vineyards, producing some of the country's most renowned wines. Mendoza has been producing wine since the 16th century, when Spanish settlers first brought vines to the region.
