WINE DESCRIPTION
Alberto Longo Primitivo is an IGT Puglia wine meaning grapes can be sourced from all over the region. Puglia is located in the far south and known as the heel of Italy. This warm Mediterranean climate allows the heat-seeking Primitivo variety to thrive and fully ripen. Grapes are harvested manually and transported back to the winery in chilled containers to maintain freshness. The winemaking process involves fermentation using temperature-controlled tanks, followed by maturation for 6 to 8 months in concrete vats and around 6 months in bottle prior to release.

Alberto Longo Primitivo has a deep ruby-purple hue with heavy staining of the tears and shows heavy tearing in the glass.The wine is full-bodied with moderate, sleek tannins and a velvety texture. The flavors are rich and concentrated, with notes of dark jammy fruits, spices, and a hint of aniseed. The finish is rich and satisfying, leaving a lingering impression of fruit and spice.
