The grapes for this exceptional wine are sourced from a 0.42-hectare parcel in the prestigious 1er Cru vineyard "Les Folatières," located above "Clavoillon." Planted in 1966 on rocky limestone soils, the 10,000 vines per hectare endure rigorous bud removal to control yields. The estate employs sustainable practices, avoiding herbicides, and cultivating soils for deep-rooted terroir expression. Manual harvesting precedes a gentle three-hour press and 12-24 hours of must clarification. Spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentation occur in 30% new and used oak Pièces. After twelve months on lees, the wine undergoes a further six-month stainless steel maturation, fining, and light filtration before bottling. Annual production is limited to 3,000 bottles.
