Albert Bichot Chablis Premier Cru Fourchaume is a pure and intensely chalky Chardonnay wine from France's renowned region of Chablis. Fourchaume is one of the largest premier cru Chablis, located north of the Grand Crus. The sloped vineyard is oriented southwest, creating wines with greater ripeness and power compared to other Premier Cru sites. The vines are planted on calcareous and kimmeridgian clay, which is said to give Chablis its marked chalky minerality. Wines are fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel with a period of aging on fine lees.
