WINE DESCRIPTION
Adelina Estate Shiraz is produced from organic fruit sourced from the Clare Valley in South Australia. The vineyards are located at 460m from vines that are 100+ years old producing intensely concentrated fruit. After hand harvesting the fruit, the bunches are partially destemmed and crushed before being fermented in concrete vats for a lengthy maceration. Following fermentation, the wines are aged for approximately a year in large oak barrels of which a small proportion is new. The resulting wine is intense, structured with refreshing acidity and delicate oak spice to complement the dark fruit profile.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
The Adelina Estate Shiraz is a full-bodied and intense red wine with bold flavors of blackberry, plum, and spice. On the nose, it has a complex array of array of flavors ranging from dark fruit, chocolate, and vanilla. The palate is pure, well-defined and powerful, with a velvety texture and a long, persistent finish. The tannins are ripe and supple helping to frame the ripe dark fruit, and the alcohol is well-integrated.
