Rose Valley
The Valley of Roses is a wine region located in Bulgaria. Stretching from the foot of the Sredna Gora Mountain into the sub-Balkan region, it's framed by the imposing peaks of the Balkan mountains. Protected from extreme weather by surrounding mountains, it's ideal for vine growth and wine production, making it a prime wine tourism destination.
Known for fresh, crisp white wines, excellent rosés, and fruit-forward reds, the Rose Valley's grape focus is primarily on white varieties. Notable is the ancient Bulgarian grape, Red Misket, known for its floral aromas and tropical fruit notes. Pamid, another local variety, also thrives here alongside international varieties like Traminer, Chardonnay, and Merlot.

Apart from its viticulture, the Rose Valley holds historical significance as the Valley of Thracian Kings. Home to Thracian kings’ tombs and treasures, it's an archaeological treasure trove, with sites like the Starosel Thracian Tomb and the Kazanlak Tomb (UNESCO) showcasing the region's mysterious past.
