
Rossolino Nero
Rossolino Nero is a black grape Italian grape variety. It is grown in the Valtellina region at the foothills of the Italian Alps. Not to be confused with Rossola nera, which is a distinct variety, even though the two are often found together in field blends. Around the village of Teglio, a pink-skinned mutation is also found. Rossolino Nero is a vigorous variety, susceptible to fungal diseases, making its cultivation challenging. Varietal wines are not yet common.
