Raspirosso, also known as Geppolino, Raspo Rosso, and several other synonyms, is a red teinturier grape from Tuscany, Italy. It is characterized by medium-sized, conical-cylindrical bunches and small, round, blue-black grapes with non-colored pulp. The vine has a red stalk, giving it its name. Raspirosso is primarily used as a coloring variety in blends, especially with Sangiovese, and produces dark-colored red wines. Grown in small quantities in Tuscany, it is a rare variety with an unknown parentage.
