Nerkeni is a black-skinned grape variety originating from Armenia. It is an interspecific crossing developed from Saperavi and a mixture of pollen including Areni (Malan), Kachet, and Hybrid No. 24. Bred by Pogosyan S.A. and Khachatryan S.S. at the Armenian Scientific Research Institute of Viticulture, Winemaking, and Fruit Growing, it is primarily cultivated in the Ararat province.
