Neretto Gentile

Neretto Gentile is a red grape variety native to Italy, primarily grown in the Canavese area of Piedmont. It is known by several synonyms including Nerét Cit, Neretìn, Neretto, Neretto di Cavaglià, and Vermiglia. Despite morphological similarities, it should not be confused with other Neretto varieties. The parentage of this grape is unknown, and it is mostly used in blending, contributing to wines with pale-red hues and low alcohol.

COLOR, AROMAS & TASTE PROFILE

Neretto Gentile wines are pale red, light in body, and low in alcohol. They are primarily used for blending, where they add mild fruitiness and a delicate structure to the wine. The wines produced are typically more neutral, with subtle aromas and flavors that support the main varietals in blends.
