Fumin

Fumin is an ancient black variety that is grown mainly in Valle d’Aosta. Italy.

Fumin wines are deep red or purple in colour, with aromas of dark fruit, herbs and spices and a hint of rustic note. Fumin is usually used in blends, to add colour and acidity.

Fumin is a late ripening variety. it is usually picked in the last week of October. Fumin's spicy character and tannic structure make it an ideal food pairing wine. Its spicy and rustic note makes it pairs well with dishes such as beef, lamb and game.

Fumin is one of the oldest varieties originated from Valle d’Aosta.
