Forgiarin

Forgiarin is a rare dark-skinned variety of grape originating in Friuli, north-east Italy.

Forgiarin is a dark grape variety. The wines have light tannins and aromas of herbs, red fruits, toasted almonds and vanilla.

The variety is mainly cultivated in Pinzano al Tagliamento and Castelnovo del Friuli in Italy. The light tannins and subtle aromas of Forgiarin pair well with a variety of dishes, including white meat and fish.

Forgiarin takes its name from Forgaria near Pinzano al Tagliamento in Friuli.
