Early Muscat is a white grape variety well-known for its juicy and aromatic character. Originating in the Middle East, it is currently grown in many countries around the world. It is a cross of Muscat of Hamburg x Szőlőskertek Királynője.

Early Muscat is found in many areas of the Middle East, including Lebanon. It is also grown in Austria. Elsewhere, it is cultivated in the United States. In California it was bred as table grape but in Oregon wine is made out of this grape variety. Early Muscat is a vigorous variety that prefers warm climates. It is particularly sensitive to powdery mildew and is sensitive to low temperatures. It is a late-ripening variety, that should be harvested when the berries are at their sweetest. In terms of winemaking, Early Muscat is often used to make varietal wines or blended with other varieties. Early Muscat is used to make a wide range of styles, from dry to sweet. Early Muscat pairs well with light dishes such as salads, fish and seafood. It is also an excellent choice for spicy Asian dishes and fruit-based desserts.
